I vincitori della terza edizione
Concluso a Cinecittà World il grande evento “custom” dedicato al mondo della Motocicletta, Eternal City Motorcycle Custom Show: tre giorni ricchi di eventi di ogni tipo che hanno visto la presenza, in ogni area tematica del parco, di ben 200 espositori, 90 professionisti del settore, decine di show e centinaia di bikers provenienti da tutto il mondo. Successo del pubblico anche per MotoTematica, il festival cinematografico a tema, diretto da Benedetta Zaccherini, tenutosi sugli schermi del Teatro 4, con 15 opere in concorso da 7 nazioni diverse e due film in proiezione speciale, Pozzis, Samarcanda di Stefano Giacomuzzi e On Any Sunday, storico documentario di Bruce Brownin con Steve Mc Queen, candidato all’Oscar nel 1971.
Accorsi a Roma per la manifestazione anche alcuni registi internazionali delle pellicole in programma, tra cui lo spagnolo Óscar Falagán, i newyorchesi Peter Boggia e Roberto Serrini, il tedesco Walter Schmuch e, direttamente da Los Angeles, Charles Muir e James Butler.
A vincere la terza edizione del Rome Motorcycle Film Festival, con votazione della giuria composta da Marie-Line Thioulouze, Roberto Brodolini, Giovanni Caloro e Romano Brida, sono stati: Best man corner di Jaremey McMullin, UK (miglior corto documentaristico); Reappear di Tommy Clarke, UK (miglior film cortometraggio); 972 breakdowns. On The Landway to New York di Daniel von Rüdiger, Germania (miglior lungometraggio documentaristico). Il Premio del pubblico è andato a Italian Sporting Bikes of the 70’s di Roberto Serrini mentre una menzione speciale l’ha conquistato il brevissimo corto di Murie e Butler The unbearable lightness of crashing.
Sul palco di Cinecittà Street, durante la premiazione, anche un ospite di eccellenza, Chuck Zito, presidente Hell’s Angels di New York e rinomato volto di serie tv e film americani, tra cui Carlito’s Way, per la prima volta a Roma.
Da questa settimana, sulla piattaforma Moto.it saranno proiettati a rotazione alcuni dei film che hanno partecipato al festival: si tratta di The diaries of the young Don di Walter Schmuck (Germania); Fizzy Boys di Christine Bullock (UK); Neuga Budapest di Mauro Talamonti (Ungheria); Holland Tunnel di Michael Amter (US); Ö-Movie di Pekka Poramo (Finlandia); Best man corner di Jaremey McMullin (UK); Ray Tauscher: America’s forgotten world champion motorcycle racer di Ned Thanhouser (US); BAÑEZA GRAND PRIX di Oscar Falagán (Spagna) e The unbearable lightness of crashing di James J. Butler e Charles Austin Muir (US).
Tra le iniziative svoltesi nel ricco programma di Eternal City, anche contest, talk show, concerti, flat track e airbrush, con personalizzazioni di scritte su moto, caschi e vetture. In tale ambito è stata presentata dall’AD di Cinecittà World Stefano Cigarini anche la stagione estiva del parco tematico con il nuovo stunt-show a tema, ispirato alla saga Cinematografica “Fast & Furious” di cui ricorrono proprio quest’anno i 20 anni.
Prossimo appuntamento nel 2022 con la sesta edizione di Eternal City Motorcycle Custom Show e la quarta edizione di MotoTematica, di cui a breve si apriranno le iscrizioni sulla piattaforma filmfreeway.com
Winners of third edition
The great “custom” event dedicated to the world of motorcycles, Eternal City Motorcycle Custom Show, ended at Cinecittà World: three days full of events of all kinds that saw the presence, in each thematic area of the park, of 200 exhibitors, 90 professionals of the sector, dozens of shows and hundreds of bikers from all over the world. Audience success also for MotoTematica, the themed film festival, directed by Benedetta Zaccherini, held on the screens of Teatro 4, with 15 works in competition from 7 different countries and two films in special screening, Pozzis, Samarcanda by Stefano Giacomuzzi and On Any Sunday, Bruce Brownin’s historical documentary starring Steve Mc Queen, nominated for an Oscar in 1971.
Some international directors of the scheduled films also flocked to Rome for the event, including the Spanish Óscar Falagán, the New Yorkers Peter Boggia and Roberto Serrini, the German Walter Schmuch and, directly from Los Angeles, Charles Muir and James Butler.

The Audience Award went to Italian Sporting Bikes of the 70’s by Roberto Serrini while a special mention went to Murie and Butler’s very short short The unbearable lightness of crashing.
On the Cinecittà Street stage, during the award ceremony, also a guest of excellence, Chuck Zito, president of Hell’s Angels in New York and renowned face of American TV series and films, including Carlito’s Way, for the first time in Rome.

Among the initiatives that took place in the rich program of Eternal City, there were also contests, talk shows, concerts, flat tracks and airbrushes, with customizations of writings on motorcycles, helmets and cars. In this context, the summer season of the theme park was also presented by the CEO of Cinecittà World Stefano Cigarini with the new themed stunt-show, inspired by the “Fast & Furious” film saga, 20 years old just this year.
Next appointment in 2022 with the sixth edition of Eternal City Motorcycle Custom Show and the fourth edition of MotoTematica, for which registrations will open shortly on the filmfreeway.com platform
